Hirisens is a Basque startup that has developed an IoT box that controls data about pollution, noise or even the dryness of parks’ plants in order to water them. It’s already being used by several public and private organizations in Spain, Italy, Mexico and Argentina.
Hirisens registers data from the surrounding environment and, using the 3G, LoRa or Sigfox networks, it sends this information in real time to a server which can be accessed online and on smartphones. It’s being used for pollution control in cities, water quality in ports, gaz sensing in water pipes and for deciding when to water plants in parks.
Hirisens can also be applied in industrial environments and for agriculture. Another business case is the construction industry, that needs this type of systems for managing the energy of buildings.
